The Human mind is fascinating. The myriad complexities of the human brain are truly mind boggling. Every computer on the planet working in conjunction cannot to do what one human brain can. We are truly unique on this planet. Though we share great commonalities as a species, everyone is totally unique in his or her own way, especially with what goes on in the 3lbs of grey matter between our ears. Everyone is unique, but not perfect.

The brain can manifest issues and behaviors that we call mental illness. Things that are not “normal” in reference to the rest of us. It is pernicious. It is universal, and it is eminently treatable. Mental illness affects millions of individuals worldwide, yet despite its prevalence, there remain numerous misconceptions surrounding it. These misconceptions can perpetuate stigma, hinder understanding, and prevent those in need from seeking help. By debunking these myths, we can foster a more compassionate and informed society.

Myth 1: Mental Illness is Rare.
